One of the goals I set for my self last summer was to learn Morse Code. I know from my time practicing music both as a kid and now as an adult the best way to learn an auditory skill like this is through daily practice and sometimes sheer repetition. However despite my best efforts I never seem to go more than a few weeks before breaking the chain. I’m still making progress but it’s slower than I’d like and I know I’m capable of, but I just need to be patient and deligent and keep up the pracitce.
I most recently started up back up mid-December right before the Christmas holiday and was good about daily practice until mid-January when a series of projects, meetings, and winter field day planning/prepping took the wind out of my sails for about 2 weeks.
But we’re starting up that grind stone and getting ready to put our work in and learn this skill. It’ll be daily practice and determination that will be the key to victory, so once more into the breach, my friends…
What about you? What daily pracitces do you keep? What skills are you trying to learn or master right now?
